Wass: "It's going to be a good Euro 2020 for Denmark"
Daniel Wass rounds off the season by joining up with the Denmark national team, who will compete this summer in Euro 2020.
Before joining up with his country, the versatile midfielder and fullback sat down with VCF Media to talk about his expectations for the competition and the next LaLiga campaign.
"It was a long season with a lot of games and some difficult moments. There were also some good moments. In the final games we saw some good team performances. It's been positive," he said of the 2020/21 campaign.
"We're focusing on next season, but we've played well as a team in recent games."
"There's a lot of work to do, but we have good players. I think that next season, with the fans in the stands, we'll get a lot of help from them. It's like playing with a twelfth man. It helps a lot, especially when Mestalla is full."
"I'm happy with my three years here so far. I've played a lot of games. I'm also happy with my appearances for the national team."
Turning his attention to the summer's international tournament, he said that: "The European Championships means playing even more games. We've got three games in Denmark, which is going to be a great experience for us. It's going to be a good Euro 2020 for Denmark, I'm sure."
"We're taking things game by game, but we have a very good team. I think that we can do something special at Euro 2020."
"It's been a long season, with many games, but I'm fit and -most importantly- my head is right."
